There is no greater calling than to serve your fellow men. There is no greater contribution than to help the weak. There is no greater satisfaction than to have done it well. -Walter Reuther, Labor Leader
The word lifetrekker best defines this girl who has lived and lives her life without silver spoon & cherries. She has traveled long enough from the place she first opened her eyes, the place that taught her the concept of happiness, family, idealism, poverty, inferiority, and beauty.
Lifetrekker is a word she herself has coined. Indeed, her life is a trek in itself; never been easy. She has lots of frustrations in life but along the way she realized that she’s even more blessed than some other people; and in her simple ways, she could make a difference.
UP has taught her that somehow, a girl like her has a place in the sun, that ideas move people and improve society. Sacrifice and the sense of nationalism were also dented in her heart, among other things. The idealist from a far-flung place in Southern Luzon experienced culture shock but her love affair with Filipino values her parents taught her never faded.
She's a researcher, a writer, a photo enthusiast and a wanderer. She owes her wisdom to the people who shaped her life. It is in this respect that she wants to impart her experiences and points of views. You can call her Rossi. She is 26 and her journey continues.
